Very old hotel, not what you see on the pictures. A lot of things in the room were broken, bathtub was leaking so there was always water on the floor of the bathroom. Safe did not work. And so on...

towels and pool can be better. the bars in GF are not worth. they make you spend more for nothing. ok if you don’t care for bars. Noise from pubs can be disturbing in few rooms. Wifi signal not available in some rooms

I do not like the impression of the customer to the hotel as i experienced not good thing from the customer. If the customer / guest knew that the Hotel is a reputable hotel they will not speak bad with other customer. I been to many Hotel in Bahrain but only in this Hotel I experience such things.

Staff behaviour was really Good

Nobody Explain about the Hotel entertainment function if we could attend . Nobody available in swimming pool to Guide for the swimming while the children present . As I also was not families with this swimming pool and unfortunately my liitke son 6 Years Old was near to die . I cannot forget that moments in whole of my life ,luckily I was observing and rescue him immediately after third dive . It could seen in CCTV cameras dated 23rd April ,2023 Around 11:00 AM as I stayed Two nights .

It is an old hotel, feels not maintained well. It is very difficult to get the parking at night

Noise of the music and there was no parking it was difficult to find and they must stop smoking in the room because there r Many people they dont smoke it smells dirty so a oid this and dont allow them to smoke in the room thanks

Everything was awesome as usual. The service from the entire staff is excellent. They care for their guest at the most. I love to stay at Gulf Gate hotel. Mustafa I can't forget you for your excellent service. The way you care for the guests. Thank you every staff of Gulf Gate hotel for making my stay wonderful.

The hotel which has nice people at the reciption will never get low scores. They are most friendly, they let me feel coming my home. They made this hotel my first choice, while it was my last before one year.

In the reception, host Ms. Rajaa did the best support to make my stay nice. They upgraded my room without any extra charges when I did not like it. On the other hand, Mr. Moustafa was doing good coordination to make my staying in the hotel nice.

Staff were cooperative...

Room is too small... no complimentary confectionery in the room... given room without bath tub because I have booked room through Booking.com.... earlier when I booked room directly..... I was allotted much better rooms...

The beds are very comfortable.

I didnt know that if you book via Booking.com, the price is without 20% tax. Probably its somewhere in the booking, but it should be made clearer. In general, Bahrain is very expensive.

Location was ok and close to old town city center & souks; transfer arrangements made with hotel from airport were of good standard and on time, safely driven both to and from hotel and general hotel staff were very friendly;

Women hanging around in the hotel corridors on sofa's asking if massage / other services was required does not lend itself to that of a good quality establishment; Hotel bar entertainment was a tad seedy and bars were disappointing and mainly being filled by older Arab garbed gentlemen clapping and paying for flower garlands to be draped onto the performing dancing girls; All three bars were of similar pattern with dancing girls moving from one bar to another to perform dance routines for payment by garland. Rooms were of mediocre standard and extremely noisy at night. Not a true 4 star hotel, more 3 star at best and all rooms are slightly dilapidated and in need of some TLC. Had to request a room change due to excessive outside noise and also noise made by room air-conditioning units which just hummed all night even when switched off. Woman / girls entering and leaving other guests rooms throughout the night was also disturbing. Bin lorries arriving at 07:00hrs for collections also made a tremendous racket which lasted for 10-15 mins and made for an unwanted early morning wake up call. Breakfast choice was quite disappointing for European taste and was limited in its appeal; as an example Kraft processed cheese slices in plastic wrap offered as cheese items, cold meats consisted of bland processed chicken / spam type meat; breads and cakes on offer in buffet were fairly stale and fruit did not look appetizing. Eggs cooked to order arrived on plate with excess oil residue; table linen was stained. I was also charged in incorrect rate however the hotel did rectify this and gave me back the excess amount of 3 Bahrain Dinars (6 Pound Sterling) approx

Excellent customer service, excellent staff, from bell boy to the owner. I like to pass my best comments for reception staff especially for Mr. Mustafa (a pleasant personality with excellent communication skill).

staff is very helpful and cooperative specially the Egyptian guys in reception Mustafa and Ahmed. they are so courteous and supportive. Also, they are so keen to make you satisfied with your accommodation in Gulf gate hotel. Parking is also available and the security team are very nice and they always welcome you and offer to help in the parking area. Room is nice and includes all the necessaries such as kettle, fridge, and tea and coffee packets. 2 water bottles are provided every day. there is also a nice water pool. Moreover, check in and check out procedures are so fast. i finished it within 5 minutes. my special thanks to the Philippine ladies in the reception (i can't recall their names).

some items need to be renovated such as a TV remote. it sometimes doesn't work and you have to change channels through TV itself. in addition to that, there is some noise from the night club but if you ask the reception for a quiet room, they will consider that. i didn't try their food so i don't know what is the quality. on the whole, my stay was so nice.

Water pressure in lavatory was very low and difficult to wash and brushing your teeth and toilet was not really good.
